Question about light for my table.

I will getting my table in about 2 weeks It's a 8 foot table. I need to know what length of light I need to buy for it.

I am looking for something simple for now. I have seen the basic 3 lamp 50 something inch lights but have also seen the same 3 lamp in a 60 something inch. Or would a 4 light be best to be sure I have light in all areas of the table?

Any help would be great and if you know a great vendor for them let me know.

Fluorescent ? Are the best . What ever you decide to install remember that the glass or plastic shade should have a reflective finish color on the inside . I think white is the best and using green glass or plastic is the worst .

Three lamp is enough for an 8 foot table. It's what I have over my Olhausen, I use the curly energy saving bulbs in it and they work fine. I don't know offhand how long the unit is.

When you get a chance in the next week or so could you measure it for me and let me know.

I have seen under 50" and over 50" lights with only 3 lamps.
