Question about pin threads

I bought a DZ cue today from Duke here on AZ and seemed to remember that DZ cues have a little different thread pattern than a standard 3/8 by 10 maybe like a flat bottom or square thread. If this is correct will all regular 3/8 10 shafts still thread on and tighten to DZ's pin ? Thanks to anyone in advance that knows and tells all.--Leonard

Talking about quick and thoughtfull answers to my questions about the 3/8 10 shafts read what Bob Dzuricky sent to my email so if you buy one of his cues your other shafts will work great, here is a quote from Bob.

Hi Leonard,

All your OB & Pred 3/8-10 shafts will fit perfectly without modification. The only 3/8-10 shafts that would need to be modified are any old shafts that I, myself made. I make my std 3/8-10 shafts with a smaller ID (.302) than anyone else out there. I always figured, more wood = a stronger thread. However, everybody else that makes that thread uses a 5/16 drill before tapping. As long as the ID is larger than .308 - the ideal size for the FB thread - your shafts will fit. Bob Dzuricky

This is the way a cuemaker who cares about people who buy one of his cues in the aftermarket takes care of his buisness, it made a believer out of me. When I get back to work I will be ordering a new six point custom from Dz cues.--Leonard
