Question, advice?

Hey all,

Have gotten really used to playing with 'wrapless' cues. Gotten to where I 'prefer' them as to feel. When I go to shoot, automatically pick up my Whisler full splice, or if I'm in a weird mood, my Meucci Oldie-1 with a predator 314, and sometimes, when I'm brave, my TS sneaky.

Now the question. Have a Schon SP-16, beautiful cue, beautiful points, ivory inlays in points and butt. I had Dan Trogdon redo it to 57", weight at 18.4 oz. since I like a lighter weight cue. Has a double black, white speck wrap, Schon shaft with ivory ferrell, as well as a predator 314 shaft, hits great, but don't like the 'feel' of the wrapped shaft. Less control for me. Too slick? Is there any way to make the wrap more 'textured'? Have it clear coated? Resale value is less because it's alrealy not 'original'. Just get rid of it?

Any suggestions?

One thing you can do to make it less slick is get a piece of beeswax at a sewing store and rub it on the wrap area. That will definitely increase the texture and decrease slippage.
