If you had the chance to play a top pro for his cue.. a special one

like Earl's Javelin
or Shane's Cuetec

and actually won. Would you play with it, keep it as a memory, or sell it?

It would go on my trophy case.

Personally, I wouldn't want to play someone I look up to, for something they use daily. That's like beating your favorite race car driver out of his championship race car.

BTW, if I beat a special top pro, he wouldn't be so special anymore lol.

I would look the pro dead in the eyes while breaking the cue over my knee, not say anything and walk out.. lol for real if I liked how it played I would play with it, if not then I would keep it just so I have a good story.

edit: Oh and on a side note I did beat Jeanette once. It was one of those pay xx to play a pro at a APA nationals event. I think it was $20 to play her, one rack of 9 ball, you win and you get her glove. I racked my own rack, broke, got nice spread and ran out. So I didn't really 'beat' her but still got the glove. I looked at her and said "I'll be practice room 4 later tonight if you want to win it back." it was quickly followed by "I'm just joking, that was pure luck, please don't hurt me.".

If i could go back in time and play a player from yesteryear it would be Mosconni and of course i would play him 14.1 and that cue would without a doubt go in my trophy case !!!

Me beat Earl or Shane HaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHa

Not enough room for the HaHa's.

But I would pay them to sign it and keep it in a nice trophy case. I would tell my grandkids about it and when I die I would hope they could sell it for enough to pay for part of a semester in college.

I'll sell it when that time comes.

I would of course want them to continue playing with it until the day they call it quits.
