Question for the players of the Tri-State Tour.

They announce a two day event, and when you show up to play, they
charge you additional $ 20.00 for the entry fee. The kicker is, that the
tournament never lasts two days. As far as I can remember, it always
ends in one day. If they planned it for two, but there weren't enough
people, I think they should refund the money, don't you? Regardless how
many days the tournament is scheduled for, why charge extra? No one
else does that. Why even announce a two day event, if you never get
enough people. It seems to me like nothing else, but to milk more money
out of the players. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

What you should do is ask where the money goes when this happens. I'm certain a two-day event accounts for additional administrative costs. When the event is shortened to one day, that money might go into the prize-fund. I'm not sure but if that happens, I don't see much of a gripe here.

Yes, it would make sense, but since the event never went for two days, why keep
on trying to make one. If you try something ten times, and it doesn't work, you quit
don't ya? Where the money goes, that subject seems to be like a Swiss cheese, full
of holes.

This appears to be another Tri-State Tour loose accusation. I've learned my lesson from the last one so I'm just going to start off by saying, email John Leyman and ask him yourself. I'm sure he'll give you a straight answer and fill the holes in your cheese. If you feel his answer is insufficient, feel free to come back to this thread and give a thorough complaint.

I've done this already, and got no response, and that's why I'm writing here. I have
also spoke with other players, and it seems no one has a clue why certain things are
done the way they are. Judging from your previous posts, you seem to know at least
one of the TD's, so maybe you could call them or something, and clear this confusion,
thank you.

If I were in your shoes, I would wait for this instance to happen again and simply ask what happens to the money.

for f*ck sake. another thread about the tri state tour ripping people off. by another op with less than a dozen posts. isn't this a bit of over kill. and wasn't the last op banned for throwing gasoline around torching his own discussion. here's what ya do. play in the toruney. if you get robbed stop playing in it or......have some sack, walk up to the guy runnin the show and confront him. in front of everyone. as loud as you can. if even one guy agrees with you there should be back up. if eveyone believes you are on tilt for no reason they will all stare at you and you should just walk away. what you shouldn't do is keep bringing it up here on the internet. obviously there is no support for your cause here.

What in the world does less than dozen posts have to do with anything. When you
started to post here, did you start with 600+ posts? No, you didn't. You have to start
with one. Also, I'm not accusing anyone of anything. I like things to make sense in my
head, and if it doesn't, I like to question it. What's wrong with that? If you don't care
about this thread, why do you read it? Last, but not least, there is no reason to use
profanity in order to express yourself, so please don't.

Hey Scarecrow,

If you do a search, you'll notice that a very similar topic was front page on the forum only a few weeks ago. Similarly, that thread was started by someone who only recently joined. Many of the members here have been posting for a very long time and have revealed a bit about their personalities through existing threads before starting new ones, especially ones that were negative or had the potential to be.

i started reding this thread be cause i couldn't believe we actually had another one bashing this tour. i'll be happy to give you the benefit of the doubt that you are new and explain what i meant by less than a dozen posts. like most internet forums we tend to get a lot of repeat business form people who get ten kinds of nasty with people, get banned and come right back under a different screen name. i was pointing out that this seems like it could be one of those times. as jude mentioned we just had a flame thread about the tri state tour (actually there have been more than one). now i did not then, and am not now accusing you of being the same person who got banned, it just seemed an odd coincidence. and i have no problem with you questioning a bad tourny, however, we just went through not one but a few threads bashing this particular tour. if it sucks as bad as you and appearantly two or more people think it does my advice stands - don't play in it, or stand up for your self and tell the guy running it what your beef is. the other problem i have is that there were a few people who defended the tour and the guys running it who did so using there names (such as jude) and all of the people who have bashed it have done so annonymously. there were allegations of points manipulation, shifting payouts, handicap manipulation and now you have alleged that they are overcharging entry fees for a two day event that only takes one. again, if this bothers you bemoaning it here won't solve it and i think this tour has taken enough abuse on the forum. and as far as my profanity goes, i am more than happy to use it when and where i wish. i am more than capable and, often enough, more than willing to make my point with out as i have done in this post but there's no law against me using it. with that all said i am glad i don't have to play in a f*ck hole tourny like that. thank god for the gsbt and viking tours.
