Question for the SPF Guys

I was going to post this in Joey's thread as it's related, but didn't want to hi-jack.

My stance is 45 degrees to the shot line. I use the snooker 4 point contact (grip hand, chest, chin, bridge hand). My forearm is at 90 degrees, and my tip is right at the CB in my set position. When down in full stance my bridge hand, grip hand, elbow, head, and shoulder are all in alignment.

Like SPF instructors, most of the snooker coaching I've read/or watched has the player's grip hand hitting the chest at finish. When I finish my stroke, my right thumb hits just to the right of my nipple. This is what I have learned to be a solid finish for my stroke, and how I've been playing for some time now.

What I've noticed is that in order for my grip hand to reach my chest, my elbow MUST drop slightly (which happens after contact).

Not looking for a remedy, as I am happy with my fundamentals now, but I am curious as to why this happens.

Any drop after contact is a choice. Will have very little if no effect on the cue ball.

SPF teaches a START & HOME position for your personal stroke.

NOTE: This SPF Instructor's elbow drops about an inch after contact.

Sounds like you have got everything in order, good job.
