Talking about 9-ball banks.

You break, you make 5 balls from the break (stupid break), which leaves 4 on the table. You bank two balls and then bank the third ball and carom the 4th ball in to another pocket which leaves the table empty and you having only 3 balls made. I guess the inning has to continue, eh ? How many balls you spot ? One at a time or all the remaining balls needed, in this case two ?

From the wording of the illegally pocketed balls rule in regular banks:

" Should a player score the last ball on the table while any illegally pocketed balls are being held for delayed spotting, those balls are then spotted so the player may continue the inning"

That is, all balls that are illegally pocketed are spotted at that time in order for the player's inning to continue. In your situation, six balls would be spotted on spotting line.
