question on players cues

this is neither rosewood or coco. those are the current models. this one is an old discontinued model that is black. i'm pretty sure it is stained maple, but i was hopeing a players distributor could shed some light for me.

I agree that looks like rosewood. Ive never seen an ebony players sneaky and that does not in any way look like any kind of ebony I've ever seen. JMHO

the glare is messing with it alittle in the photo. in person it is near jet black. if you look close you can see some lighter spots which lead me to belive its stained maple but i'm by no means an expert on wood, i just know rosewood is a dark brown, not black like this is.

Maybe this might help.

remove bumper and look inside, if there is weight bolt , remove weight bolt and look inside. If the wood color is same as outer then you know is not stained maple.

You could just say the heck with all these questions and simply buy this Ebony cue......I can assure you it will make you a helluva playing cue
