For over two years now I've been playing with a Joss that seems to have a somewhat hard tip since I break all the time with it and don't have any mushrooming on it. I've had a new Pechauer for a couple of weeks now and it has a little mushrooming on it and in general I feel it puts more english on the ball than what I'm used to (I haven't broken with it). I was wondering if it would be worth while to get a harder tip put on it or is it something I should learn to play with. I don't know much about what changes with different tips on the cue. I think the main difference I notice with the cues and my game is that I can't draw as straight and I get a slight masse on long shots more than I used to. Is there just something I should focus on with my game or maybe try going back to something I'm more used to. The Pechauer may also be a little lighter than the Joss I'm used to.
I'm don't know much about feel and hit of a cue and what it means. Perhaps I just need more practice on my stroke.
Thanks for any help.
