I had a question. Does anyone know where i can find the score keeping balls like they use at the feature match table at the us open. I would really like to put something like that in my basement. Any help would be appreciated.

US Open scorers

teambizy,

I've been to the Open on 5 occasions and I've looked at those scorers. They look to me as if they've been made as one offs by a local woodworker or craft person. I've considered making one myself but what I really want are a string of the beads for playing 14.1.

How much would you be willing to pay for something like this? I ask because I'm a hobbyist woodworker and could easily make one. I want to make sure it's worth my while. PM me if you're interested.

Why don't you just google it?

I did and it took 0.19 second to come up with 121,000 items dealing with billiard+scoring+beads............

It would behoove you to read an entire post before rattling off a half assed answer which does not help the original poster whatsoever.

What he is looking for are the score keeping BALLS that keep track of the games needed to win, not a simple set of straight pool beads which you needlessly found 121,000 posts for.

You can

buy wooden beads at any handicraft store, and you get wire at the lumbar
yard (Lowes or Home Depot)

That's the way most Pool rooms do it.

The ones with 50 beads on it is a pain in the butt, no room left over to scoot them over. Besides usually only 11-15 beads are needed on a wire
for races in 9-ball or 8-ball.
