Questions about polishing balls?

I have some old balls that have lost all there shine, and are extremely dirty that came with a table that I bought. I have bought new balls but have decided to try to restore the old balls. I was wanting to know if it was possible to get them back to there oringinal shine.

I am new to AZ so if this is in the wrong place. I apoligize.

but I'd shave them first. That pumice stone has got to hurt.

Old balls can be polished to look good. However it will not remove the nicks and dings that are there. I assure you they are there if they look real bad now. Not to mention worn out which is another probable certainty.

If it was me I'd use the new set unless you really need the money or don't care how they play.

Aramith markets a Ball Cleaner and a Ball Restorer for more severe cases. If you want to experiment, try some car rubbing compound on one ball and see how it does. Good luck in your quest.
