The size and speed are obviously the biggest differences. I love playing on the 3c table because it is more consistent than a pool table. But, you have to be so much more precise in every shot. I was sharing this with a friend yesterday, that on the pool table a poor stroke can still pocket a ball, but in 3c, you really need a solid stroke, accuracy, precision, etc. I like the artistic side of 3c, particularly the masse, because the bigger balls (more mass) allow for more retained-spin. The masse's aren't easier, but they are more fantastic. The hardest adjustment for me would have to be finding the miscue circle. In pool and billiards alike, you rarely have to shoot outside the miscue circle. But, in artistic, many shots are shot at max spin, well beyond most players' max. With the bigger billiard balls, it took me an hour or more to find my max without miscueing. All in all, I didn't have that much trouble adapting.
