Quick cleaning methods for a cueball

I have made one of the "homemade bucket ball polishers" and it works GREAT, but it works best when you load it up with 6-10 balls in it, if I throw just the cueball in, it just rolls around and doesn't get all that clean.

Just curious if anyone had any "quick and easy" methods for quick touch ups on whitey... say every 10 racks or so.

I usually run all the balls through the polisher about once a week... but total time to do a good job is about 15-20 minutes.

Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Polishing the cue ball every 10 racks is a little OCD, but if you must...

I've always taken a dry microfiber cloth and wipe away chalk residue. I wouldn't use a damp or wet cloth at all. If you plan on polishing the cue ball, it's best to give it a full cycle, but like I said; Every ten racks is obsessive.
 
I own more than 5 cue balls. When they are all in need of cleaning, I do them as a batch in my polisher.

I don't want to "polish" every 10 racks... that is obsessive, just a quick way to get the chalk marks off W/O having to polish...
 
I carry several cue balls (Centennial Blue Dot, Red Dot Aramith & 2 Aramith Measles Balls).

The measles are what I normally use and I just switch cue balls when one seems dirty.
My Aramith carrying case contains a micro-soft towel and Aramith cleaner so I could manually
polish any pool ball if needed.

I prefer it to be dry. Polishing the ball by hand with cleaner/polish will never be perfect, so there will be spots with cleaner caked on. IMO, it's best to wipe away the chalk and let the cueball get dull, then go back and polish it up; Rather than polishing it with cleaner/polish by hand.

You could invite Spitball Charlie Darling over to your house.
 
I'm probably going to be tar-and-feathered for saying this, but I just place the CB next to a rail and drag the palm of my hand over it. 15-20 quick swipes of that and the CB is free of all chalk, smudges, etc. I do it before every break; it's kind of a pre-breakshot routine.

I do this, too. I also use a microfiber towel from time to time, but if you're gambling you might get accused of juicing the CB...
