Quick Joint Question

Dont F*ck with the Jesus
Well This is my first new thread so here it goes.

I recieved my new Mcdermott cue yesterday and noticed it takes some effort to screw the shaft on. Once its all the way on its fine and it plays well, but is it bad that it takes a signifigant anount of effort to screw the two halves together? I called the company today and they told me to play with it for 2-3 weeks and it should loosen up, and if it doesnt I should call them. Since this is really my first decent cue I dont have much experience with these types of issues.
Thanks

Should have got

one with the quick release joint, it is much easier and quicker to operate.

If you have the 3/8-10 pin into wood it should not be a problem. If it really bothers you put a "LITTLE" paste wax on the threads.
If you have a metal joint you can try the wax also.

That's a good thing in my opinion. The tighter the better. Nothing worse that a sloppy or wobbly shaft when screwing it together.
