Quick price question please...

A friend of mine found a table he would like to buy. The previous owner claims it was $4800 new ...she'll take $2000. I still think this is high...but I'd like other opinions please.
The table is a 4x8 AMF. Its dark stained furniture style with leather pockets. It has the square style legs. Its pretty fancy furniture style but does not have a lot of carvings or anything like that. No light included in the deal or anything...help!

Sounds a bit steep, the most expensive one on the bay is 1500. If it's in excellent condition, I guess you could pay a bit more but I wouldn't.

I install for retailers all the time and if someone paid $4800 for that, new, I hope the seller was nice enough to include a new jar of Vaseline. $2000 sounds a bit hight unless is is SOLID cherry (not veneered)

I've found most retailers of pool related paraphenalia are like used car salesmen and will get every penny out of you they possibly can. I'm sure she (or possibly a deceased husband) paid that much, I sure she THINKS it is worth 2 grand, I'm sure it isn't, and I'm sure the retailer was not kind enough to provide vaseline.
