Can anyone help me I need a quick release joint. I have a 94 year old man wanting one for his cane. He is trying to make his cane come apart for when he travels. I have no Idea how this will work but anybodys help would be appreciated.

Basically what I am needing is the whole complete joint. This man wants to cut his cane and put a quick release joint on it. When he flies he can't take his cane on the plane. I am just trying to help him out.
thats just it.. if he puts a joint in his cane.. he wont be able to take it either unless he tries to sneek it on...
he will then be stuck in the same situation cue players are in..
they will say he can use it as a club and the steel pin can be used as a weapon..
i think if he puts a joint in his cane, it will only still cause him problems..

unfortunatly, you will need somebody with a lathe and know what they are doing to install one..
