Quick warmup before match.

That’s always the shot that comes up later in a rack. I’d rather miss a bank on the 2 ball than a cut on the 8. And it’s also a shot that can’t be tried out in the middle of a game. It’s a make or miss shot not one you can be off an inch on and still make.

a rotation player testing the rails is not mainly concerned about bank or kick shots, but of how cue ball position shots will be effected by dead or springy rails. quite often you play a two rail position shot off a routine corner pot, or a three rail position shot off a ball pocketed in the side pocket. you're entire speed can be effed up by a bouncy rail.

testing the alignment (?) of the side pocket titters would be pretty far down on my list.
