Racking at the pbs event

I prefer the matchroom events. I’m just not a fan of the spot shot nonsense if you go hill hill in the 3rd set. Seems hokey to me. If some find it exciting that’s great so you don’t need to waste your typing long posts how I’m wrong lol Idc I will say I like the hand racking. Even if you rack the balls tight not every rack will be the same so the break isn’t as guaranteed as using the template.
 
The table is tapped so it’s as tight as a template
But there are dents on the cloth that might cause balls to change path

Must be a PA thing, I dislike the Spot Shot decider also (dislike is an extreme understatement). Brian.

are you sure? the eurotour predator tables are tapped but these tables don't look it. i don't think they would be breaking from the side if they were
 
Spot shot decider is stupid. But I did see old pro Ralf Souquet practicing it before a match in Las Vegas this year. Lo and behold the match came down to it and Ralf got by a much younger opponent. Age and cunning…😉

I thought that I saw the referee racking without a triangle so I assumed that the table is tapped. But later I saw they use a triangle so probably not tapped.
Sorry for the confusion
 
I don't understand why people hate the shootout so much, it seems like the most fair way possible for a hill-hill match to be settled.

No lucky or unlucky rolls, just a pure test of mechanics under pressure.

it would be unlike predator – in these events they want to promote their useless aero rack.

anyway. the side break is a cope with the often prevalent slug racks. they go for one in the side, with the safety aspect of other object balls often clustering up along the long rail. seems to me that guys like kaci, svb would have better results head on

Sure if i’m playing in the event even I think it’s silly I’m going to practice it lol wouldn’t be smart not to

because the game your playing is 10 ball. Not who can make a spot shot lol rolls one way or another is pool.
 
I didn't like the format at first but i've come to like the format's tension/excitement. Sure its not for hardcore purists but the fans love it and at this point in pool's history that's pretty important. I wouldn't want every event played like this but it seems to work in these deals.

The rules of 9/10 ball have already changed massively. I'm sure traditionalists were complaining about ball in hand being added to the game.
