There have been some discussions on the forum about moving cue raffles out of the "Wanted/For Sale" section and creating their own section.

In a Democratic society, majority rules. Let the people have their say.
 
1) It's pool related and supports cuesports. It wouldn't belong in the Wanted/For Sale section anyway. If you aren't interested in participating in a raffle, don't click on a thread marked "raffle".

2) This forum isn't a democracy.

I voted I don't care, but if I were Mike I'd ban them. Sooner or later somebody is going to get burnt by a raffle gone bad and it will represent bad press for the forums. JMHO.

I have not participated in a raffle, but I do like the idea and I think For Sale in the right place.

I am curious about your opinion on this regarding the people getting burnt and "bad press". As we all know, people have been burnt buying and selling cues here. Do you think it will be more common with the raffles? If so, why? Also, why would the resulting flame thread be any worse than the ones we already get when a buyer and seller have a disagreement.

Not trying to start a fight, I am honestly curious why you see a difference.
