Rail Cloth untensioning after recover?

After finishing my table about 10 days ago it has been getting a few hours a day of use. I know all the rails were nice and tight, I made an effort to make sure the tension was the same all around to the best of my ability. Now I have two spots where the cloth is pretty slack, enough to pinch it. My research here is telling me that the cloth won't stretch (Simonis 760), any chance the cloth is slowly sliding out of the feather strip (they were tight - not worn)? Staple holes growing larger? It is in two areas, close to pockets but the pockets seem OK, no slack in them. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks guys.

a few things could have happened: your featherstrip is too small, your staples are too far apart, your staples didn't seat properly, you trimmed to close to the staple. Is your cloth loose on the top of the rail or bottom.

It seems to be at the top, I felt for the featherstrip raising up but it is in the there tight and still flush. If my lack of experience means I didn't realize the feather strip wasn't tight enough, could the cloth be sliding out of with the feather strip still in there? I'm going to pull it apart next week and fix it so I am curious to see the staples. I did use enough staples and any staples that didn't seat properly were carefully tapped in with a punch. Can't say how much was left after trimming though.

you probably can't fix it without making new rail cuts and re-doing the rails completely.

probably just going to have to live with it.

I remember finding a little nail "wedging" in one of the featherstrips (can't say for sure if it was this problem spot), I didn't put it back in because the featherstrip felt pretty tight. Am wondering now if the previous table mechanic (I know it was the same guy who worked on it twice) realize this problem and the nail was his solution. Will still lift off the rails next week and see what I find.

Any chance they sell Simonis 760 in small amounts just to do rails? I'm willing to do it again to get it right...practice makes perfect they say.
