Looking for feedback comparison on Brunswick Super Speed cushions vs Artemis. Would like pros and cons for choosing one over the other in upgrading Valley bar boxes. Cloth to be used will be Simonis. If, in your opinion, there is an advantage in one cushion over the other how substanstial do you think it and how will it affect the way the table plays. Thanks for your input.

I upgraded my SS to Artemis last year (9ft Medalist). The play of my table is a barely better than the GC's in my local pool hall now, but noticeably below Diamond tables with Artemis.Doug said:
Personally, I don't think the value added for Artemis is worth the premium in price. Unless you believe that the life of Artemis is worth paying more (which I am not convinced of), I think the SuperSpeed cushions are more than adequate for any pool application.

If you search the threads, you will find some horror stories of other brands suffering quality problems that cause cushions to age prematurely and harden unevenly, making the table to play unpredictably. The lower price may be no bargain.
