What is the standard rail height, ball is 2 1/4 so if the center of the rubber is 1 1/4 seems like it would be high enough, but the ball jumps when it hits the rail, now if you raise the rail up about a 1/8 it is better but i will have to add a shim all the round the table. any ideas thanks gary

Ideal nose height is 1 7/16" for regulation 2 1/4" ball sets.
Ball jump is typically caused by cushions mounted too low, they are the wrong profile or someone
incorrectly rebeveled the subrail.

The formula to determine correct nose height based on the ball size used is
63%-64% X ball diameter. This allows a very slight but acceptable variance.
