Hi. First I tell shortly that I've done some rubber changes in past but they always been new rubbers. I also have done maybe 150-200 table repairs and I normally do good job.

Anyways. Now I think doing something I've never done and I would appreciate advice from pro mechanics around here AZ.
If table rubbers are still good but they seem to be wrong height, can I take em away and re-glue them? And if I can, what is best way to take em out?

Thanks for any help. :)

Ps. Rubbers are glued with a Bostik.

Having done this in college, my advice is send it out to a professional. It's one of my few regrets from pool. The other was get involve in an aiming thread on AZ.

Is it a new table with the original cushions or did someone replace them before? What brand/type of table is it? Depending on how good of a bond your glue has you may be able to pull them off easily or you may have to pry them off one way or another. As you know sometimes when you remove the cushions they stretch and deform so that may be an issue when you try to re-install them.

If they come off easy you may be able to re-use them. Are they even the right cushion for the table? Were they installed upside down? That could be the reason that they are the wrong height.

What are the balls doing when they come off of the rail? Hopping off the rail or are they bouncing off of the slate killing the ball speed?

Table is nine footer SAM billiards and rubber was changed by professional table mechanic..
I believe they are not as tight as original rubbers. I

He just glued them little bit too high. He noticed it and tried to fix it by changing rail angle by using splines under rail but it won´t work. Ball speed is killed by cushions quite a lot and I gonna try reinstall them. He also made pockets super tight(also made more difficult facing angle). I like work he made there..

I probably try get one rubber off and if it is not getting off easily I will not do it then.
Thanks about warning that they could stretch so I won´t use method that makes em stretch. :)
