Wow, I think that's really... cute. One of my friends is colourblind and thus when we play we always refer to the numbers. Gives me an idea... I think he'd get a kick out of it.My random act comes from a fellow AZ'er. A while back there was a thread about being colour blind and playing pool. I have a pretty severe case of colour blindness and I have a really hard time seeing the difference between the 2 and the 4 balls. This man sent me a private message asking me about it and decided that he was going to send me a pink 4 ball just because. The ball ended up getting to my house right on my birthday  to be honest I didn't really expect it to show up.
Anyway, I have been fortunate enough to meet very many kind people even though I haven't been playing that long. The owner of the local billiards hall has always been kind to me. When I first started 3C (which was not very long ago), right away people came to my table to share tips and advice. The owner played some really good 3C himself and would occasionally drop by my table while I practiced. Then he began to patiently teach me fundamentals and strategy. Then when I wasn't good enough to apply the strategies yet, we went back to fundamentals. When he wasn't busy, he'd teach me. And still does. All of this on top of the discount he gives for the time I use the tables. There was another carom player I met that offered to give me his personal cue because he is now too busy to play... I declined because I wanted him to keep playing. He didn't come to play that day, but to just fix the air conditioning. He ended up showing me some cool artistic 3c shots he said he used to practice. Then he offered to go get his personal cue and give it to me. And he said he could ask the owner of this other hall to give me a discount. I was really, really touched by how kind these random strangers could be... although now they are not strangers but friends.
