Very nice rare older 4 point black boar cue. It has a number etched under the bumper on the weight bolt. Talked to tony about it at the sbe and he said that he did that on the first series of cues, and you take away the first number and the remaining two numbers is the order the cue was made. This has a 491 so it would be the 91st cue made. The points and butt appear to be cocobolo. The wrap might be cortland but i'm not an expert. The butt weighs 15.5 oz. And the shaft is 12.8 mm and weighs 3.75 oz. The butt is in great original condition, and has a small ding on the joint collar as shown in the picture. The cue rolls straight together and apart.

Assuming the story is true, about the number under the butt cap, is it safe to say that the number "525" under my "BB" cue is, in fact, the 25th?
