I am currently auctioning Willie Munson's playing cue on e-bay. (Sorry, don't know how to link it) For those of you who don't know Willie, he is a very good masters level player from Milwaukee Wisconsin. This cue has played on the PBT and won many, many tournies. I got the cue from Willie in a trade for another cue.

The cue has been recently refinished by Evan at Schon. Evan made the cue roughly ten tears ago, and told me he could not make a cue of this quality and inlays for less than 3k today. All of the white in the cue is elephant ivory. It comes with a new un-played shaft and leather wrap as pictured. There is a color flaw in the ivory on one of the rings above the wrap. Evan noted that it has been that way from the start and didn't want to change it. I have attatched some pics. If you would like more info please ask, Scott

Please don't take this the wrong way...but you are probably going to have a hard time getting that kind of money for that cue with ZERO feedback. I really would suggest lowering your price and letting people bid on the cue with a reserve. You may want to offer a phone number where you can be reached as well in the auction listing.

Thanks,
Shorty

Shorty...

Thanks for the info. I am new to the e-bay thing. I have more than the starting bid into the cue, and will not sell it for less. It is history, and one of a kind. I may try your suggestions next time around, Scott

That cue is sick- SICK, I say! As in very, very nice. I have never been a fan of Schons, but I gotta say that the area abovr the wrap is durn intense!!

Realisticly, I don't think it matters how he goes about setting up the auction...he's never going to get $2900 for that cue with a -0- feedback eBay account.

My advice would be to find a friend who has a better established eBay account (preferably one with a billiard-related history) and ask him to list it through his account. You're much more likely to get bids. I still don't think you'll get $2900 for it on eBay though....

holly shit I thought the old man would never get rid of this cue I heard he had a falling out with the guys from romines did he get pissed off and decided to sell this cue <a player from WI>

Falling out.....

Matt, I wouldn't really say Willie had a "falling out" with anyone. He told me that Romine Sr. had made some negative comments about him and he hasn't played there in a few years. He still plays regularly at Wisconsin Billiards/Lenny's downtown where the old Romine's was. As for the cue, I think he needed the money more. A great player can play with a broom stick!

I may not sell it on e-bay, I am offering to sell it other places as well. Thanks for all the suggestions, Scott
