Harley

Ouch, sorry to hear that. My Harley is up for sale now. I've had it for 4 years with no major mishaps and consider myself luckey. Fun, but not worth the risk with two kids under 3 now.

Speedy recovery my friend!
Mr H

I had a really bad motorcycle accident 8-years ago.
I can see why you would want to sell your bike, young kids and everything, but at least it's a Harley so drivers can hear you.
I think that if I would have been riding a Harley, my accident would have never happened.

Well surgery did not go as expected I have a cast to top of thigh. Doctor Repaired break but found ACL seprated and had a section of bone attached to it So it had to be Temporarly pinned in place so pin will be removed in 6 weeks. So I Iam looking at minimum 2 months being out

Actually, most drivers do not hear Harley's either...let alone see them! Most of them have their windows rolled up, air conditioning on, sound system going...they won't even hear baffles-out drag pipes, until it's too late.

I rode almost every day as if everyone were out to kill me...it got very tiring after a while...and kinda took the fun outta riding, for me anyways. But truth be told...it was the only way to ride...and that awareness saved my backside more than once.

You'll be on the mend soon enough, Rodney...which is a good thing. I am very happy to hear that in the grand scheme of things, you actually did quite well, with regards to injuries.

Also, check with your local ABATE...they may have some contacts for non-profit organizations that cater to 'downed riders'. They may help to defray any medical/loss of wages costs, due to your injuries. Definitely worth checking out...should there be a shortfall from insurance.

Take care!
Lisa

Trying to figure out if that is a Radial or 3/8x10 pin. Looks like Titanium. Get well soon.

Funny but just a little twisted. You gotta laugh even when it hurts! Anyway get well soon!!!

The Radial pin is a copy of the surgical pin. I guess it is only fitting that a cuemaker would wind up with one holding bones together. I hope you get well real fast.

As far as hardware youve got me beat. I would be happy if I could bend my freaking knee and ankle. Hopefully that will be no longer than 4 weeks longer well see. I would hate your contraption I would fear constant exposure to infection as well....

Wow...I was wondering where you've been. Since I bought that maple/ebony cue from you I always check to see if there's another RD for sale. I love the freakin' cue. Anyway, Here's to a speedy recovery my friend. Please let us know when you're back on the horse. By then I hope to be ready for another Rodney special. Take care.

Thanks you and I too cannot wait to get back in the shop I tried a couple times already and just still unable to. Still in a full leg cast and my break deviate already a 2-3mm so I was told stay off of it and relax. So looks as if it will be end of december to first of january.

Glad to hear you like that cue that one was one of my favorites. I have several in the work just unable to finish at this time so hopefully will have some more on here beforelong.

Thanks
Rodney Sr
