I've been puting this off for some time now, but with the winter coming and tourneys galore....I figured it's time to tear the old stroke down and rebuild it once again (4th time, better each time). I have made some real good progress over the last few years, but the last piece o the puzzel is a stroke hitch I've always had. I have a "fly away stroke" as I call it. On the back stroke my hand goes away from my body....on the front stroke it corrects to center...MOST OF THE TIME! ala Varner, or Busta but not by choice
The guys at the pool room today called me nutz for tinkering with my stroke because I ran an 84 last week, but I know I can do better, and my misses are consistent from it.
thats what I'm working to refine. SO, if any of you have overcome this nasty habit, let me know how you did it. I can get fairly close by shortening my bridge length, and riding the cue along my chest as a guide. This actually works pretty well, but any ideas would be great.
thanx, Gerry
