For those who know my son Matt from the Viking Tour.

Matt recently joined the US Army.

He is currently in Boot Camp in Fort Jackson, SC.

I was in A-CO 2-13 Inf Regt.
3rd Platoon (Mad Dawgs)

That was in 1997. My how time flies. I was a communications major, what is his M.O.S?

Mike, he's definately NOT a chip off my old block when it came to this decision.

I offered him a new Harley or any Mc of his choice to not join.

But as a father of a young man I have to respect his decision.

Funny this should come up at this moment in time - as I'm currently in Richmond, VA at the 59th annual reunion of the 100th army division (i.e. WWII vets) with my elderly father.

Wow Mike, I can understand that. I sure wouldn't want my baby going off to the Army.

I will drop him a line at some point. Will he be home for Christmas?
