re/ size of snooker balls?

H. Could someone please advise if the same size snooker balls used on a 6x12 in UK and Canada at 2 1/16(I think) are also used in tourneys in USA on 5x10? If not what size does USa snooker Assoc.use? Thank you.

size of balls in US

all i have seen here in the south is 2 &1/8
interesting since i have seen corner pockets as small as 2.75",,,,,,,,
very difficult to run a ball down the rail into the pocket... must be hit perfect and enter the pocket very slow.
quite a few old 9 foot snookers around the US as well.

2 1/16" is the standard.

But you can get them from 2 1/4" down to 1 3/8", from what I've found on the web.

If it's not played on a 12' x 6' table with 2 and 1/16th" balls it's not snooker.
