re streaching felt

I want to restreach the felt on my table felt was replaced last year the problem is when the humitety is high the felt get wrinkles the slate is one peice and the felt is glued on the edges how is the best way to get the felt loose with out tearing it sim 860 felt any suggestions thanks

Unknown what glue was originally used but get it started and it should peel off
the slate edge without much difficulty.
