Recommendations for video instruction

I have a lot of dvd's and to me Eberle's and Dr. Daves stand out above all esle.

Especially Eberle's website. I like it. And Dr. Daves info is the most complete knowledge on the subject. I wish I had a source for such in depth knowledge about everything I am interested in.

Btw, if you are into learning aiming then Eberle's spot in the pocket aiming method is the best info out there imo. You take it to the table and use his eye paterns and you will be aiming like a pro.

I got them all, and the best videos are Dr. Dave and Tor.

I like Dr Dave better because it is structured as oppose to Tor, which just from subject to subject.

Immonen's DVD was pretty useless to me, I mean not complete if you compare to Dave's stuff.

For an intermediate or advanced player I like Bert Kinister's videos and Tor's. Both talk a lot about pattern play (e.g. being on the correct side of the line, thinking 3 balls ahead, etc). A lot of other videos and books I've seen focus on how to make the OB and send the CB to get shape on the next ball. That's very much needed, but Bert's videos talk a lot about strategy and provide many little tips.

You can subscribe to Bert's web page and get access to all 100 of his videos, streaming. It only costs $25 or so for a month and then you can decide whether to continue. And he's a hoot to listen to.

If I were getting one of Dr. Dave's DVD sets, I'd get "How to aim pool shots." It's just 3 DVDs so it's cheaper than his larger sets, and contains great practical info. His best, IMO, is the Video encyclopedia of pool shots.

I bought but personally didn't relate to Tor Lowry's stuff, and I think there's some bad info in there, but I know lots of other people like it.

My other favorite DVD set is Jerry Briesath's A pool lesson. It seems like more beginner stuff than some of the others, but that's just because it has such good info on fundamentals.
