I just started playing a lot of 3 cushion billiards and was wondering if there is a consensus among billiard players as to a favorite tip. I use a soft Moori for pool, and it has been doing well for me in billiards. The tip did just recently take a turn for the worse, however, when one of the layers in the middle of the tip squeezed out.
Are layered tips generally not used for billiards? I would assume that a harder tip might be preferred as well.
I'm betting that it is just personal preference as it is with pool, but I thought I would ask anyway.
