Recreating Exceed Linen Wrap

Moving this from main forum due to lack of input, wondering if the cuemakers may have some insight....
Hello, I've really enjoyed playing with my exceed and in particular like the wrap. I've tried a number of different linen wrapped cues and this is one of my favorites. It's not tacky, sticky, or slick, just feels smooth and absorbs the sweat without getting damp. I'd like to have it recreated, but I know there are various terms to describe the style of linen wraps (pressed, double pressed, burnished, etc...), but I'm not familiar with what term I should use to describe it to a cuemaker. Wondering if anyone familiar with exceeds or linen wraps can tell me what style of linen wrap I should tell a cuemaker to have it replicated?

I don't really see anything different about the wraps on Exceed cue. Just irish linen nicely pressed.

A qualified cue repair person will know shellac is too brittle and dries too fast to serve any real useful purpose on an irish linen wrap.
 
I know what the op is saying their wraps are flawless ..idk if u can figure out what their linen supplier is that would be a start. After that you would have to talk to someone at Miki Co for their installation process. They do feel really good don't they.

I agree they have a great feel and seem consistent from one cue to another, so they have a great method and stick to it. Their website just says Irish Linen, nothing about fancy cotton or blends. Looking at them closely they are nicely installed for sure. Who knows what if any chemicals they are using in addition to a great pressing method.
