Red Label with Tournament Edition K55 cushions

I'm trying to figure out if my new to me early Red Label 8.5 oversized has had the rails updated/modified to be closer to a Blue Label. It has Tournament Edition K55 cushions which looked new/almost new during the re-cloth with 860HR. I feel the cushions are quite a bit slower than the Blue Labels I play on at my local pool hall, but they do seem to bank at the correct angle with no ball hop. I will measure the cushion height later today. Does anyone know what that should be? Thanks in advance!

1&7/16".

If you run your hand over the red label, from the wood rail onto the cushion, it will have a hump that comes up a bit. If you do the same to a blue label, it will be more straight. Go to the pool hall with Blues and try this to get your hand "calibrated" then do it at home to compare.

Also if it was converted, I'm sure the seller would have used that as a selling point...

Thank you. I measured mine and they are 1 7/16 to the center of point on the cushion. He did say that it was converted, but the facing didn’t look altered to me and actually needs a strip put in for the staples to seat correctly the next time it is felted.

You are correct on my Red Label, it has a slight hump. I will check a Blue Label tomorrow. He did say it had been, but I believe it was just re cushioned possibly. Not sure but it has the Tournament Edition 55 on it now and they look new. I have also heard that Diamond used several different cushions back then. I appreciate your input/help.
