Do these need sanded before install? These pads just turn to fur if lightly sanded

I sand them very lightly, mostly to make sure they've flat. Then seal with a very small amount of thin superglue. Just enough to get it wet all the way across, then hit it with a tissue. You don't want it soaking in too far.

" I DO sand the red pad-
BUT,
use at least 400 grit dry" sand paper- very light passes on a flat surface-
also-
Very lightly scar the pad with a utility blade-
you know,
like number symbol # or tic tac toe"

I tell you it just seems like the pad turns to dust.... lol these tips are garbage

Scoring the tip or ferrule is a great idea if you're using hide glue or something similar. It's counter-productive with cyanoacrylate adhesive.

I was told the red is just dyed leather. The one in between the layers is IDIOTIC!
I don't stock many of thier tips because of it.

" I have tried most all Tiger tips...
Not a fan of any ….
"If you like softer tip,
I recommend the Predator -
They play great and easy install and shaping too-
Much better than any of the tiger tips
IMO
"You should also check out the Ultra Skin FIRE TIPS-
Very good product,
much less $$ than ,
I think every tip on the market.
I use Ultra skin Black hard tip.
I just got a Meucci cue, with pro shaft and Medium ultra skin black ,already installed rom the factory.-
really plays great on that shaft

Tiger tips played better before they kept trying to fix what wasn't broke. To bad too.
