Reduced fund at WPA World Team event? World 10ball money?

Overheard Johnny Archer telling players USA werent going unless BCA guaranteed prize money because funds were reduced. 10 teams canceled out?

can anyone verify what happened and if prizes were reduced?

also, did any players get paid yet from World 10-Ball? Heard no one did as of yet.

And Mika Immonen still not paid from US Open. Saw Behrman's letter.

What is going on with the pool world? All these high profile events and no one getting paid.

I've got an even better one for you. Remember years ago when Efren won 500K in the IPT Championship at the Venetian? Well they deducted 150K from his winnings to give to the IRS. Who knows if that really happened and they actually sent the money to the IRS? Trudough lie to the government? No way ! Even so Efren was still supposed to get the 350K that remained.

Nearly two years later the IPT finally started paying everybody for that tournament. After another year or so most of the players had been paid in full. Well guess what, Efren STILL has money owed to him from that event! He did receive a payment just prior to the recent DCC, but is still owed at least one more payment.

Going on four years now. His winnings have become more of an annuity by now. Maybe he'll receive the final payment in January, 2011. He should at least be getting interest on the debt. I don't make this sh-t up. :shakehead:
