Reducing the diameter of a cue???

Question for the experts...thanks in advance for your inputs

Is it practical to reduce the diameter of a cue?

I hit with a friends old Predator that is .83" at the joint and 1.24" at the end of the butt and I really, really like how it feels.

My Cog is .858" at the joint and 1.277" at the butt.

Would it be a good idea to have the cue reduced?

Yes it could be done but I would never do it to a good cue like a cog.If you like the smaller butt just find a different cue that has the feel you like.Turning down the cog will only hurt it`s value and cost you alot more.
My suggestion is to keep or sell the cog and go with a cue that has the feel you like.
Alot of the asian custom cues have a smaller butt diameter maybe try one of those.jmho
