Reducing the width of the butt and replacing a butt cap?

I absolutely love my Phillippi sneaky pete that I just had turned down, it plays fantastic!

The only problem with the cue is that the lower butt is quite a bit thicker than I am used to or like, I am more used to a a Predator Blak's feel in my hand.

Is it possible to have the butt turned down and refinished for a reasonable price without compromising the quality of play?

I also don't care for the solid white delrin butt cap and am interested in a phenolic butt cap with a ivorine or even ivory hoppe ring.

Is this something that is done typically, is it recommended, who are the best at it, and what's the cost?

it can me done the only thing is you hoppe ring will be like .750 max or 3/4in and that delrin is 1.5in so youll loose some legnth

there almost no way to add without making like a 3'' buttsleeve then the hoppe ring. anything else would look weird IMO
