Refinish on an Espiritu - NEED ADVICE - HELP!!!
Okay, I just received a 1997 Espiritu that has some serious issues with the finish/cue.
All rings have popped through the finish.
All the edges of the points can be felt through the finish.
The butt cap feels like it is not "aligned" with the butt sleeve.
My biggest concern is; if this is sent to be refinished, I don't know if it can be refinished without losing the signature, Espiritu's signature is pretty faint between two of the points.
I picked this up for $350 on eBay. I think pics of the cue can still be seen at this link (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p4340.l2557&rt=nc&nma=true&item=110676371154)
So my questions: A refinish and rewrap will probably cost around $150. Can a refinish be done without losing the signature? Is this going to be worth it, or should I just use the return option and return the cue...?
