refinishing GC3 wood

Hi again

I would like to sand the sides. spreader, ball box and legs on my GC3.
I disassembled the table today and it was a little hard to tell if this wood is solid or has laminate on the facing.
I don't want to make a mistake and sand through a laminate.

They're made out of plywood, "spreader" and Poplar for the skirts and ball box, no laminate except on the tops of the rails
