Remembering Sang Lee

Over in the main forum someone mentioned Sang Lee and I posted a response to him.....Just thought I'd post my response over here on the carom forum as well....


"And speaking of Sang Lee....about 12 years ago Sang was living here in Chicago, giving me the good fortune of being able to play with him many times. He was a great friend and influence to all of the billiard players at Chris's billiards, and always willing to play....if you were a gambler, he'd gamble with you, and if you just wanted to play for the table time, he'd give you a big spot and play you just for the time.....

He is missed - may he rest in peace....or better yet, maybe he's not resting, maybe he's running some 15's up there"...

One of the greatest things I've ever heard of anyone doing in pool or billiards is Sang Lee running 50 points in 4 innings.

Deno Andrews watched him run 19,11,9, and then another 11 back to back.

I consider that as good as Archer running 13 and out on Bustamente in nine ball.

Ceulemans had said the speed control was his strongest point.

-he was a master of tickies
-master of short angles and plus two shots,too
-very imaginative
-very serious,seems to be devoid of emotions during the match
-first class gentlemanship
