Remove modern Predator butt cap

Has anyone removed this white butt cap from a modern predator butt and maintained the extension functionality? I hate the aesthetic, and I play with the 3” extension full time. Thanks.

Even if you went the other way of cutting it, which I don't recommend. Why lose an inch!
The cartridge for thier weight bolt is long and threaded all the way.

It would be nice to have it black also make the joint smooth. That tiny gap is annoying

Thanks for the suggestions. I went from a 30” custom butt, and years of buying 30” Predator shafts with the maker matching the joint, to an off the shelf P butt and shaft. The 3” extension takes me to 61”.

Make sure you send it to someone with experience, that cue is plain maple painted black, and it would be pretty easy for someone without the proper tools and knowledge to make a mess of.
