My second leather wrap went on as good as the 1st,BUT what if I had screwed up & had to remove it. I'm using contact cement. Any advise?

I for one have messed up a few times and had to remove the wrap. Just get under the seam with a utility blade until you work enough up to grab it. Then just pull the whole wrap off. This will leave bits of leather and glue all over the wrap area. I use Barges contact cement thinner to wipe it off until I have a totally clean wrap area. It takes a few minutes but you can get it all cleaned off pretty easily. I suspect lacquer thinner would work if you can't find contact cement thinner. Make sure you sand the wrap area again before starting over.

A: Don't screw up. :D
B: Lacquer thinner. Peal off the old leather and wipe down with the thinner. A cabinet scraper comes in handy if you have a few stuborn spots.
