Removing Case Tubes

Anybody know if the tubes can be easily removed from a Giuseppe case? My tubes are filthy and I think my ferrule is getting scratched way down there.

I have repaired a few of these, and from what I have found you can't remove the tubes, as the interior is one piece.

The exterior of the case is glued to the interior around the bottom edge. You can easily take the exterior off by separating the glued area and sliding off the fabric. The zipper at the top is not glued, so you can start there and start working your way down.

When you put it all back together, you just need to use contact cement to reattach the exterior to the bottom of the case.

Before you take it all apart, why not try blowing it out with air from a compressor. I used to store my cue in the Guiseppe with the tip in first and the joint end of the butt in first too. But for the last year or so, I've been doing just the opposite by storing the butt end of the shaft in first and ditto for the butt. Keeps it a lot cleaner. I've also been cleaning the tip by twisting it on the carpet before I break down my cue.
Not sure if this will help you but sounds like a lot of work to take the case apart. Good luck in whatever you do and please let us know how it turns out.

That sounds much easier, but I'll need to get an air compressor. I'm not so sure I want to take it apart. I have another like new case for storage that I might begin using.

Go to a gas station for .50 you can blow all you want !!!!

I've used a micro fibre cloth attached to a dowel to clean out the tubes in my case. Or..... in the days before micro fibre cloths a moist sponge on the end of a dowel worked great.

Seems like a lot less work than using compressed air or taking the case apart.

Hope it works for you.
