Removing Simonis name on cloth

What is the best way to remove the Simonis name from their cloth? It shows up on the bottom edge of 2 rails and looks OK but I really don't want it there. It seems to come off with water but I'm just looking for the best way to remove it.... Thanks...

Acetone... Try acetone, put a small amount on a rag and lightly rub. I use it to get adhesive off cloth. Never used it for the simonis print but have heard of it being used.

Erasing "Iwan Simonis"

I take the face side of a scrap piece of simonis cloth and rub it hard on the printed logo. Basically "sanding it off" works quite well

Per Simonis -
3M citrus-based adhesive remover works to remove the printing from the edge.

You can find this either at Office Max or Office Depot

There's a smart man to ask Simonis.

LOL
Yea, I had asked them a long time ago. It's too bad the edge printer sometimes gets a bit off with the marking. We run into this every so often and typically just send out another rail piece by mail rather then asking the customer to go find the remover at the store. FWIW, in Europe they often try to make sure the edge logo is showing - sort of a status thing to show the name.

I always cut the handwriting side for the rails and use them for head and foot. I personally like the label.

Thanks Dartman.. Off to the store I guess... I may be calling to get a small strip of cloth from you. The old Brunswick rails have the sides of the T rail covered. The long pieces from the side were able to wrap the ends but the others won't. I have to see what I have left when I'm done too see if there's enought to cove the ends of the other rails... 3 Rails are covered and look good. I give you guys credit that do it all the time. Taking me a while to wrap the corners and get them looking good. But I'm getting there... I know I could have had a pro come in and do it but I like doing things myself. I've put soooo much work into restoring this table. Can't wait to play on it.... Getting close... Thanks again....
