Hi, A friend has broken his dufferin cue, and would like it repaired for sentamental reasons. It has a brass pin that bent when he broke tonight.
It has a pilot that locates and the shaft threads into the handle. It looks like about a 3/8 that goes into the handle.
Any ideas where this pin can be brought from. I am capapble of making one, but wanted to purchase an original to try and keep it close a spossible to the original as posible.
Any help apreciated.

Generally Dufferin used a 5/16x14 thread. You should be able to get them at any billiard supply outlet. Prather, Atlas, etc.

I think the Dufferin joint you are talking about only came on older stuff, like the "dot" series cue. I should have one of the cues around here somewhere.

The male threads are on the shaft and the jointcollar/female threads on the butt are aluminum. Is this the type threads you are talking about ?

d_flash...trying to right erroneous information...it's my job...lol.

If the joint is like this one below, I have a old one sitting here, pretty beat up but repairable, would let you have it for shipping costs..

EDIT: Just want to clarify, when I say its pretty beat up, I mean the cue, not the joint, and actually after I cleaned it up, its not to bad, the inlays are are ok but starting to swell a little and the shaft is a little warped. But the Joint is tight and stright for you..
