Repairing a Predator?

A friend of mine left his cue propped up against the hinge area of a door, and his girlfriend closed the door, crushing the shaft in the process. The shaft has a large dent just under the ferrule (which is still fine), and there is a crack in the shaft, where one of the glue lines has failed.

Is it possible to repair Predators with broken glue lines? What if I just put some epoxy into the gap and hope for the best? He is still using the shaft, albeit only playing soft shots. I would say the crack is about 3 or 4 inches long.

I believe they are hollow for first few inches below ferrule. I hope you just got a dent and not crushed a splice all the way through.
