Repairing Its George Cases

Hi Gang. I have a question. One of my 3x6 It George cases has had a falling out with the doohickie that holds the piece of leather responsible for keeping the shoulder strap holder in place. From the looks of things, there is a stud that comes in from inside the case and that stud is topped off with a cinch cover. Well, due to age and me, the cinch cover has popped off and the stud has disappeared inside the case. I still have the handle to use as a carry handle, but the shoulder strap can no longer be used. Does anyone know anyone who could repair this puppy or am I on the hook for a new one ? They are really exquisite cases, so I'd hate to have to give it up. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

There was a recent tread about Mike Roberts building them again in the wanted for sale section.

Might try and ask the guy who started the thread, how to reach Mr. Roberts, as I would think he could do a repair.
