replacing the rails....

Couple of years ago I picked up a crappy no name 8' table just to whack balls around. The cushions are very bad now and they need to be replaced.
The room isn't big enough (width about 6" short) so I don't want to spend a ton of money on the table. So, I'm not putting on simmonis.

I used to cover the tables in my old room, so I am all set there. But those rails....they scare the crap out of me. I am not the worlds best mechanical guy. So, should I replace the rails myself? Or should I pay to have them replaced? (btw...laid off in March so...cash is king around here...)

Thanks for the link sausage. It didn't look quite as scary! I think I'm doing it on my own. At least you guys are around if I need help! thanks again.

no prob. i do everything myself unless the job requires expensive, specialized tools. life is a learning experience. stop learning and you might as well just quit living.
